His work includes engagement with India’s evolving renewable electricity market. His professional activity has covered subjects such as renewable power markets, grid integration, power trading and emerging models for renewable energy deployment. His public profile also records a certification in incorporating renewable energy into electricity grids.
This combination of commercial, market and renewable-energy experience provides the background to Gupta’s latest move into Jakson Green, although the company has not publicly detailed his specific mandate or responsibilities in the new role.
Jakson Green Expands Across Renewable Energy and Green Molecules
Jakson Green is a new-energy platform backed by the Jakson Group, with operations spanning renewable-energy EPC, independent power production and operations and maintenance. Its portfolio covers solar, wind, hybrid renewable projects, battery energy storage systems, green hydrogen, green ammonia, other green molecules and compressed biogas.
The company says its renewable EPC portfolio has crossed 6.5 GWp, while its solar IPP portfolio stands at 980 MWp plus 140 MWp and its wind IPP portfolio at 200 MWp. It also reports more than 8,500 tonnes per annum of green-molecule production plants and an O&M portfolio exceeding 3.5 GWp.
Jakson Green has been expanding beyond conventional renewable-power generation into green molecules and other energy-transition technologies. Its disclosed projects and initiatives include green ammonia, green hydrogen, carbon-to-fuel technologies, sustainable water solutions and compressed biogas.
The company has also been active in large-scale green-ammonia development. In 2025, Jakson Green emerged as the lowest bidder under India’s SIGHT scheme for the supply of 85,000 tonnes of green ammonia to Coromandel International’s Kakinada facility.
Jakson Green’s stated longer-term ambition is to build a 30 GW renewable EPC platform and a 5 GW renewable IPP platform by 2030, while targeting production of more than 0.5 million tonnes per annum of next-generation fuels.
