Sistema.bio, a leader in biogas technology and services for family farmers globally, has announced its acquisition of Inclusive Energy (IE). Known for its innovative remote sensing capabilities in biogas and solar energy systems, IE specializes in digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV).
This acquisition is set to bolster Sistema.bio ability to provide impactful biogas solutions, integrating advanced digital MRV features that will offer farmers enhanced service and ongoing support.
By merging with IE, Sistema.bio solidifies its position as the largest full-service biogas provider, while also becoming the first to implement a biogas-specific dMRV platform. This development will facilitate large-scale carbon emission reduction projects through high-quality digital monitoring.
Alex Eaton, CEO and co-founder of Sistema.bio, expressed enthusiasm for the integration, stating, “We have been thoroughly impressed by Inclusive Energy’s digital MRV platform, which we have incorporated into our biogas units over the past three years as part of our global carbon emissions reduction initiatives. This acquisition marks an exciting new phase, allowing us to accelerate both technologies to better serve farmers and reduce carbon and methane emissions.” He further highlighted that this move reinforces Sistema.bio’s commitment to climate action, aiming for a 1% reduction in annual global greenhouse gas emissions by 2030.
Inclusive Energy’s expertise in remote monitoring and performance tracking aligns with Sistema.bio’s mission to deliver sustainable and efficient biogas solutions. The collaboration is expected to enhance the accuracy of carbon emission reporting and improve service for farmers, with both companies already having worked together on numerous farms.
Vijay Bhopal, CEO of Inclusive Energy, commented on the partnership: “Sistema.bio has a proven track record of innovation that leads to significant real-world impacts. We are excited to join their mission and drive the biogas market forward. Together, we can ensure Inclusive Energy’s technologies improve lives and enhance credibility in the carbon markets.”
The integration of Inclusive Energy’s technology into Sistema.bio’s platform will allow for expanded offerings in IoT and remote sensing. This acquisition enables real-time monitoring of biogas digesters, facilitating remote diagnostics, usage analytics for carbon reporting, and predictive maintenance insights.
