Evonik has introduced a new membrane designed to upgrade biogas to renewable natural gas (RNG) for large-scale landfill, agricultural, organic waste, and wastewater treatment projects. This innovative product aims to enhance sustainability and efficiency in biogas upgrading.
Jennifer Doerper, the global director of biogas membranes at Evonik, stated, “The launch of this product meets the increasing demand for our membranes in large-volume biogas upgrading projects at landfills and other significant RNG initiatives. The superior capacity of our Sepuran Green G5X 11” positions it as the ideal solution for customers seeking improved cost efficiency.”
Set to commence production later this year, the new Sepuran Green G5X 11” boasts double the capacity of its predecessor, the Sepuran Green G5X 6”L, making it particularly suitable for high-flow projects in landfills. Utilizing Evonik’s patented 3-stage configurations, it significantly enhances methane recovery rates while ensuring extended operational times.
Furthermore, the Sepuran Green G5X 11” is designed for compact systems, reducing the number of piping connections and welding time required, and it features user-friendly operation with precise monitoring capabilities.
Currently, Evonik’s membranes are utilized in 200 biogas installations across North America and more than 1,000 globally, reflecting their growing adoption in the industry.
