REnergy Dynamics has received the EPC Contractor award in the compressed biogas (CBG) sector at the 6th India Green Energy Awards (IGEA) 2026, recognising its work in delivering CBG projects in India.
The award was presented by Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy and Power, Government of India, who attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
The recognition highlights the role of engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors in developing India’s CBG infrastructure. These contractors are responsible for coordinating project engineering, equipment procurement and construction, helping translate project plans into operational facilities.
REnergy Dynamics credited its teams and project partners for their contribution to delivering CBG projects. The company also acknowledged the Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) and the IGEA organising team following the award.
CBG infrastructure and India’s bioenergy sector
Compressed biogas is produced by purifying biogas generated from organic materials, including agricultural residues, animal waste and other biodegradable feedstocks. It can be used as a transport fuel and for other energy applications, depending on the relevant infrastructure and end use.
EPC contractors play a key role in establishing the infrastructure required for CBG production, from plant engineering and equipment integration to construction and commissioning. Their execution capabilities can influence project timelines, costs and the eventual performance of facilities.
As India develops its bioenergy sector, the delivery of CBG projects remains an important part of efforts to expand the use of organic waste and other biomass resources for energy production.
Bioenergy Business Analysis
REnergy Dynamics’ recognition at IGEA 2026 draws attention to the infrastructure providers supporting India’s compressed biogas sector. While policy support and feedstock availability are important to project development, successful implementation also depends on engineering expertise, construction capabilities and the coordination of multiple project partners.
For the CBG sector, the next measure of progress will be the effective delivery and operation of projects, alongside the development of reliable feedstock supply chains and viable routes to market. Recognition of EPC contractors highlights the importance of the companies working behind the scenes to build the infrastructure needed to scale bioenergy production.
