Bharat Bioenergy & Renewable Pvt. Ltd. has been awarded a project to develop a 24 tonnes per day (TPD) Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant for Yedeshwari Agro Products Pvt. Ltd., according to an announcement by the company.
The Bharat Bioenergy CBG plant project is aimed at converting multiple organic feedstocks into renewable fuel. The proposed facility will process spentwash, Napier grass and pressmud, with dedicated digesters planned for each feedstock.
The project marks another development in India’s expanding CBG sector, where agricultural and industrial organic waste is increasingly being utilised for renewable energy production.
According to Bharat Bioenergy & Renewable, the project was formally marked by a Bhumi Pujan and Foundation Ceremony. The company described the development as a step towards waste-to-wealth, energy independence and the promotion of a circular economy.
The use of different feedstocks, including spentwash, Napier grass and pressmud, forms a key part of the project design. Dedicated digesters for the individual feedstocks are planned as part of the facility.
Bharat Bioenergy also expressed its appreciation to Bajrang Manohar Sonwane, Member of Parliament, for his trust and support for the project.
The 24 TPD CBG plant project adds to the growing number of bioenergy initiatives focused on converting organic waste and agricultural residues into cleaner fuels. Such projects can help create value from waste streams while supporting the broader development of India’s renewable and bioenergy ecosystem.
