Roshni Renewable LLP, a newly launched venture founded by industry veterans from Valco—one of India’s top ten aluminium producers—and Solidus Techno Power Private Limited, a leading Punjab-based EPC company, has announced plans to set up Punjab’s first giga-scale solar module manufacturing facility.
Major Step Toward Renewable Energy Expansion
The upcoming facility will have an initial production capacity of 1.8 GW, marking a significant milestone for both Punjab’s industrial growth and India’s renewable energy ambitions. The fully automated, state-of-the-art plant will adhere to global manufacturing standards, enhance local employment, and promote sustainable regional development.
Strategic Collaboration with Jinchen
Roshni Renewable’s manufacturing line will be developed in partnership with Jinchen, a trusted supplier of solar module manufacturing lines in India. The collaboration was formalized during the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo, underscoring the company’s commitment to adopting advanced production technologies.
“We are proud to introduce Punjab’s first solar manufacturing line in collaboration with Jinchen,” said Ajay Gupta, representing Roshni Renewable. “This project aligns with India’s clean energy mission while driving Punjab’s industrial transformation through job creation and advanced renewable manufacturing capabilities.”
Supporting ‘Make in India’ and Self-Reliance Goals
Aligned with the Government of India’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, the project aims to reduce dependence on imported solar components and strengthen India’s position as a self-reliant clean energy manufacturer.
Roshni Renewable LLP reaffirmed its commitment to fostering the renewable energy ecosystem and advancing India’s transition toward sustainable and self-sufficient power generation.
