Sustainable Aviation Fuel: The Future of Jet Fuel
Sustainable Aviation Fuel is a next-generation jet fuel produced from renewable sources such as used cooking oil, agricultural residues, and animal fats. Compared to conventional jet fuel, SAF can cut CO₂ emissions by as much as 80% over its lifecycle, providing immediate climate benefits with no need for modifications to existing aircraft or fueling systems.
Spring GDS has secured a large supply of SAF, ensuring that businesses can access verified emission reductions. Through the Book & Claim mechanism, customers can choose the proportion of SAF they’d like to claim for their air shipments, effectively reducing their emissions even in regions where SAF is not readily available.

Each SAF transaction is independently verified in line with ISCC standards and recorded on the supplier’s blockchain platform, ensuring full transparency and preventing the risk of double counting.
