Jakson Green has elevated Sudhir Nain to the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) – India Renewable Business, as the renewable energy company continues to expand its project execution and clean-energy portfolio in India.
In his new role, Nain will be responsible for steering the company’s Indian renewable business, with a focus on project execution, operational capabilities and scaling the organisation’s renewable-energy activities.
The elevation marks a progression in Nain’s responsibilities at Jakson Green, where he has held operational and project leadership roles. In 2024, he was identified as Operation Head – Domestic, Jakson Green, while subsequent industry contributions have listed him as Head – Domestic Operations (Solar) and, more recently, Head – Projects & Operations at the company.
His published work has focused on issues affecting India’s renewable-energy project development and execution. In an August 2025 article, Nain wrote about challenges facing India’s solar EPC sector, including land acquisition, project approvals, financing, supply-chain constraints, skilled manpower and grid integration.
More recently, in July 2026, Nain wrote about the growing role of renewable energy in India’s industrial economy, examining the links between clean power, manufacturing, energy storage, green hydrogen and industrial decarbonisation.
Nain to lead India renewable business
Announcing the elevation, Jakson Green said Nain will continue to steer its Indian renewable business, with responsibilities centred on execution excellence, operational scaling and strengthening the company’s position in India’s clean-energy transition.
The company said his experience, strategic perspective and focus on operational excellence will support its efforts to develop a future-ready renewable-energy ecosystem.
The expanded role comes as Jakson Green pursues an ambitious growth strategy across renewable power and emerging energy-transition technologies. The company has said it is targeting 30 GW of renewable IPP and EPC capacity by 2030. It is also targeting 12.5 GW of operational renewable projects over the following two years, according to a September 2026 report.
Jakson Green expands across renewable energy and green technologies
Jakson Green is the new-energy transition platform of the Jakson Group, with activities spanning engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), independent power production (IPP) and operations and maintenance (O&M).
Its portfolio covers solar power, utility-scale energy storage, waste-to-energy, fuel-cell technologies, green hydrogen and green ammonia. The company also has activities in compressed biogas and green O&M services.
The company’s expansion is also increasingly extending beyond conventional renewable power. Its stated focus includes battery energy storage and green molecules, reflecting the broader shift towards integrated clean-energy systems.
Nain’s elevation comes against this backdrop of expansion, placing operational execution at the centre of Jakson Green’s next phase of growth.
His recent public commentary has highlighted the importance of execution capability in India’s rapidly expanding renewable-energy market. His 2025 analysis of the solar EPC sector identified project delays, land and approval issues, financing constraints, supply-chain complexity and shortages of trained manpower as key challenges for developers and EPC companies.
With Nain now taking on the COO – India Renewable Business role, his remit is expected to centre on translating Jakson Green’s expanding project pipeline and technology portfolio into execution at scale.
