Nutzen Engineering Solutions LLP, a leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) company specializing in sustainable waste-to-energy solutions, has been awarded a complete turnkey contract to build a 7 Tonnes Per Day (TPD) Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant (from Press Mud) in Beed, Maharashtra. The project developer is Ganga Mauli, a prominent sugar industry leader based in the Marathwada region.
Slated for completion within an accelerated 10-month timeframe, the project highlights the growing synergy between Maharashtra’s robust sugar sector and the transition toward renewable energy. By converting industry byproducts into high-quality CBG, the facility will champion a circular economy while providing a clean alternative to traditional fossil fuels.
Led by Visionary Engineering
Driven by the expertise of Designated Partners Vikrant Palyekar and Vikrant Hiwase, Nutzen is deploying its cutting-edge, proprietary biogas conversion technologies across the entire facility. As a complete turnkey provider, the company will utilize its in-house innovations to ensure maximum efficiency and high-purity biomethane output.
The integrated technologies include:
- Advanced Digester Technology: Utilizing Nutzen’s proprietary and patented continuous stirred-tank reactor (eCSTR) design for optimal organic waste digestion and biogas yield.
- High-Efficiency H₂S Scrubber: A biochemically-driven system engineered to safely and cost-effectively remove high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide from raw biogas.
- CO₂ Scrubber: Precision-engineered High Pressure Chilled Water scrubber technology designed to ensure maximum methane concentration with minimal methane escape.
- Gas Drying System: Specialized infrastructure to eliminate moisture and deliver grid-ready, high-quality Compressed Biogas.
Strategic Impact
This collaboration marks a significant milestone for the Marathwada region, demonstrating how traditional agricultural and sugar processing industries can integrate advanced renewable energy infrastructure. The 7 TPD output will contribute directly to sustainable energy availability while mitigating the environmental footprint of sugar production waste.
The Beed facility will be developed from concept to commissioning entirely by Nutzen’s expert engineering teams, reinforcing the company’s position as a premier, end-to-end EPC partner in India’s rapidly expanding bioenergy sector.eveloped from concept to commissioning entirely by Nutzen’s expert engineering teams, reinforcing the company’s position as a premier, end-to-end EPC partner in India’s rapidly expanding bioenergy sector.
