Juniper Green Energy Limited has fully commissioned its 75 MW Tata hybrid project in Maharashtra, completing the remaining 36.25 MWp DC solar capacity at Bhigwan in Pune.
The completed project combines 36.25 MWp of solar capacity with 50 MW of wind capacity and has been developed through Juniper Green Beam Eight Private Limited, a subsidiary of Juniper Green Energy, under a 75 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power.
The solar component is connected to the Bhigwan Substation in Pune district, while the wind component is connected to the Nilanga Substation in Latur district.
The completion adds Tata Power to Juniper Green Energy’s customer base, which the company said is expanding across distribution companies, utilities and other power offtakers.
Bhigwan Solar Capacity Completes Hybrid Project
The newly commissioned Bhigwan facility represents the balance capacity required to complete the Tata hybrid renewable energy project. The 50 MW wind component was commissioned in phases during July and August 2026, while the commissioning of the 36.25 MWp DC solar component completes the project.
By combining wind and solar generation across two locations in Maharashtra, the project forms part of Juniper Green Energy’s broader portfolio of integrated renewable energy assets.
Project Links Pune and Latur Renewable Energy Assets
The hybrid project uses renewable generation infrastructure in both Pune and Latur districts. The solar capacity at Bhigwan is connected to the local substation in Pune district, while the wind capacity is connected at Nilanga in Latur district.
The multi-location configuration reflects the company’s approach to developing integrated wind and solar projects under a common power purchase arrangement.
Tata Power Added to Juniper Green Energy Customer Base
The project operates under a 75 MW PPA with Tata Power, making the utility the latest addition to Juniper Green Energy’s growing customer portfolio.
The company said its offtake base includes discoms, utilities and other customers, as it seeks to diversify the counterparties purchasing power from its renewable energy assets.

Malik said completion of the Bhigwan solar capacity demonstrated the company’s ability to execute integrated solar and wind projects across multiple locations while focusing on timely delivery.
Operational Portfolio Reaches 2,725 MWp
With the commissioning of the Bhigwan solar capacity, Juniper Green Energy said its aggregate operational renewable energy capacity has reached approximately 2,725 MWp, alongside 503 MWh of battery energy storage system (BESS) capacity.
The company said the latest addition further strengthens its operating portfolio across solar, wind and hybrid renewable energy projects.
