Solex Energy to unveil TAPI RQ solar module at REI 2026

Solex Energy says it will unveil its TAPI RQ N-Type TOPCon quarter-cell solar module at Renewable Energy India Expo 2026 in Greater Noida.

Solex Energy Limited says it will unveil TAPI RQ, which it describes as India’s first quarter-cell solar module powered by N-Type TOPCon technology, at the Renewable Energy India (REI) Expo 2026, being held from October 22 to 24 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. The launch marks another milestone in the company’s pursuit of technological innovation, manufacturing excellence and its commitment to strengthening India’s position in the global solar industry.

Designed to meet the evolving requirements of large-scale solar installations, Solex says TAPI RQ offers a power output of up to 670 Wp. Combining advanced Quarter Cell architecture with N-Type technology, the module is engineered to deliver enhanced energy generation, superior performance and long-term reliability. Equipped with an IP68 rated junction box for protection against dust and water ingress, TAPI RQ is particularly suited for utility scale and high-capacity solar projects, where efficiency, durability and consistent performance are critical.

Commenting on the launch, Dr. Chetan Shah, Chairman & Managing Director, Solex Energy Limited, said: “Innovation has always been central to Solex’s growth journey. For three consecutive years at REI, we have introduced technologies that reffect our ambition to push the boundaries of solar manufacturing in India. With TAPI RQ, we are taking another step towards delivering higher efficiency, greater reliability and long-term value to our customers. Our vision extends beyond manufacturing capacity to building an integrated, technology driven solar ecosystem that strengthens India’s self-reliance and global competitiveness. As we advance towards Vision 2030, our commitment remains firmly rooted in innovation, quality and supporting the national ambition of Atmanirbhar Bharat.”

The introduction of TAPI RQ further strengthens Solex’s track record of bringing advanced photovoltaic technologies to the Indian market. At REI 2024, the company introduced India’s first solar module powered by rectangular cells, followed by the concept unveiling of India’s first Rear Contact Solar Module, TAPI Rear Contact, at REI 2025. With TAPI RQ in 2026, Solex continues its third consecutive year of introducing differentiated solar innovations at the exhibition, reinforcing its focus on technology leadership and customer centric product development.

Under its Vision 2030, Solex Energy aims to establish a fully integrated renewable energy manufacturing ecosystem, comprising 10 GW of solar cell manufacturing capacity, 10 GWh of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) manufacturing capacity, and 2 GW of wafer and ingot manufacturing capacity, backed by a proposed investment of ₹14,300 crore.

As part of this roadmap, the company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Gujarat, outlining an investment of ₹4,000 crore towards establishing a 5 GW solar cell manufacturing facility, to be developed in two phases of 2 GW and 3 GW, alongside a 10 GWh BESS manufacturing facility. This strategic expansion underscores Solex Energy’s commitment to backward integration, strengthening domestic manufacturing capabilities and building a resilient, self-reliant renewable energy supply chain, in alignment with the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat initiatives.

Alongside its technological advancements, Solex is actively seeking strategic partnerships with dealers and distributors across India and international markets, including the United States and Europe, to strengthen its distribution network and expand access to its high-performance solar solutions.

Visitors can explore TAPI RQ and Solex’s latest solar innovations at Hall 10, Booth B193, at Renewable Energy India Expo 2026, from October 22 to 24 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. Through its participation, Solex aims to engage with industry stakeholders, customers and prospective partners while reaffirming its commitment to advancing solar technology, strengthening indigenous manufacturing and contributing to India’s clean energy future.
