Two Point O Capital raises $10 million in Series A funding led by Transition VC

India-based clean energy infrastructure platform Two Point O Capital has raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Transition VC. The investment will support the company’s efforts to expand access to clean energy solutions for businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across India’s rural economy.

Two Point O Capital was founded by Karan Bhutani, Archit Mehrotra, Manya Ranjan and Shashidhar Reddy S. The company operates as a clean energy infrastructure enablement platform, combining financing, project execution and equipment leasing to help businesses adopt energy-efficient and lower-carbon technologies.

Its portfolio covers rooftop solar installations, battery energy storage systems (BESS), energy efficiency solutions and wastewater treatment infrastructure.

Addressing Clean Energy Financing Barriers for SMEs

Small and medium-sized businesses play an important role in India’s industrial and rural economy, particularly in sectors such as agro-processing, dairy and textiles. These industries can have substantial energy requirements and process-related emissions, creating opportunities for efficiency improvements and cleaner energy adoption.

However, the upfront capital requirements and complexity of implementing infrastructure upgrades can prevent smaller businesses from investing in these technologies.

Two Point O’s business model seeks to address these challenges by bringing financing and project delivery under one platform. Its offerings combine access to capital with turnkey solutions and equipment leasing, potentially reducing the need for businesses to manage multiple providers when upgrading their infrastructure.

The company also includes wastewater treatment in its portfolio, extending its services beyond energy generation and efficiency to water management.

Financing and Project Execution Under One Platform

The company’s integrated approach covers several infrastructure requirements that businesses may need to address as part of their energy transition.

By combining financing, turnkey implementation and equipment leasing, Two Point O aims to make these solutions more accessible to businesses that may otherwise face capital or execution constraints.

The latest funding round provides additional backing for this model as the company seeks to expand its reach across India’s business ecosystem.

Bioenergy Business Analysis

The investment highlights a broader opportunity in India’s clean energy market: extending infrastructure financing beyond large renewable energy projects to smaller commercial and industrial users.

Businesses in agro-processing, dairy and textiles can benefit from improvements in energy efficiency, distributed renewable generation, storage and water management. However, adoption depends not only on technology availability but also on financing structures, project execution capabilities and the ability to deliver solutions at a scale suited to smaller enterprises.

Two Point O Capital’s integrated model addresses several of these requirements through a single platform. Its inclusion of wastewater treatment also reflects the growing overlap between energy transition investments and wider resource-efficiency initiatives.

The $10 million Series A funding marks a financing milestone for the company. Its longer-term impact will depend on how effectively the capital supports project deployment, customer acquisition and access to clean energy infrastructure for SMEs.
