Jitendra Narayan, Chief Executive Officer of KEC Biofuel, has been recognised as “Chief Executive Officer of the Year in Renewable Energy – 2026” by CEO Insights, according to an announcement from KEC Agritech.
The recognition highlights Narayan’s leadership in the renewable energy and biofuel sector, with KEC Biofuel focusing on areas including Bio-CNG, bioenergy project development and sustainable infrastructure.
CEO Insights identifies Narayan as the Chief Executive Officer of KEC Biofuel and describes his professional background as spanning commercial, solar and biofuel activities. He holds a B.Tech from Kurukshetra University, now NIT Kurukshetra, and an MBA from IBS Hyderabad.

Narayan began his professional career in merchant banking before entering entrepreneurship in 2014 through the solar energy sector.
According to his profile published by CEO Insights, he subsequently expanded his activities into renewable energy and biofuels, with KEC Biofuel evolving from a project management consultancy-focused business into a broader clean-energy solutions provider.
The company says its activities now span project consultancy, technology transfer, EPC services and turnkey execution for biofuel projects.
KEC Agritech’s public materials identify Narayan as its Founder and CEO, while the company’s platform is focused on bioenergy, Bio-CNG and related project development activities.
KEC Biofuel focuses on integrated Bio-CNG project development
KEC Biofuel’s approach centres on developing biofuel projects across multiple stages, from project planning and engineering to execution.
In a CEO Insights interview, Narayan said the company initially operated as a PMC provider before expanding into technology transfer, EPC and turnkey execution. He described the company’s approach as covering the project journey from concept through commissioning.
The company has also been developing a CBG Park model intended to address project-development requirements including land, feedstock aggregation, offtake and management of associated products.
KEC Biofuel recently marked the ground-breaking of an 8 tonnes-per-day CBG project in Panipat, Haryana, moving the project from development towards on-ground execution.
Engineering and execution at the centre of growth strategy
Narayan has emphasised engineering and execution as key components of commercial biofuel project development.
According to CEO Insights, KEC Biofuel’s project approach considers backward integration, core processing and forward integration, including feedstock, digestion, gas separation, purification and upgrading, alongside associated outputs.
The company’s public communications similarly position engineering, feedstock, operations and reliability as interconnected factors in Bio-CNG project performance.
