XCF Global Inc. (NASDAQ: SAFX) has outlined a strategy to expand its renewable fuels business, integrate capabilities across the fuel supply chain and broaden its carbon-solutions offering following the completion of its business combination with Southern Energy Renewables Inc. and DevvStream Corp.
Announced on October 23, 2026, the strategy is organised around three priorities: Scale, Integrate and Deliver. The combined platform brings together operating renewable-fuel assets, feedstock and fuel technologies, and environmental-asset management under one corporate structure.
The company said its approach will combine optimisation of existing facilities with greenfield and brownfield development and licensing opportunities. It also aims to capture additional value through environmental attributes associated with renewable fuels and by offering customers carbon-related products alongside physical fuel.
New Rise Renewables Anchors Production Strategy
XCF’s New Rise Renewables business will provide the operating foundation for its production expansion plans, according to the company.
In September, New Rise Renewables Reno generated more than $12 million in gross product sales, shipped approximately 1.4 million gallons of renewable diesel and increased daily production to around 85,000 gallons by the end of the month.
XCF said the facility’s modular refinery design can be replicated at additional sites. The model is intended to allow projects to be sized according to feedstock availability, customer demand and financing conditions.
The company plans to pursue a combination of operating-asset optimisation, new facility development and licensing. However, its announcement did not specify a timeline, investment commitment or capacity target for additional sites.
Southern Adds Feedstock and Fuel Technology Capabilities
The combined platform also incorporates Southern’s feedstock and fuel technology capabilities through XCF Tech Ventures.
These capabilities include biomass-to-fuels development and potential future methanol-to-jet pathways. The company said access to a broader range of technologies could provide flexibility in facility design, feedstock selection and product development.
Methanol-to-jet is a potential pathway within the strategy rather than a confirmed commercial operation or production commitment. XCF did not disclose a project schedule, planned output or investment figure for this pathway in its announcement.
The company said its approach is intended to support expansion across different markets and operating models, depending on commercial and financing conditions.
XCF Carbon Solutions Targets Environmental-Asset Value
XCF’s integration strategy extends beyond fuel production to include feedstock procurement, offtake, distribution and environmental attributes.
DevvStream, operating within the combined platform as XCF Carbon Solutions, will contribute environmental-asset management and monetisation capabilities. XCF intends to pursue value from fuel-linked mechanisms, including Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs), Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) credits and Section 45Z clean fuel production tax credits.
The company also plans to offer customers a wider range of carbon solutions, including voluntary carbon credits and offsets, credits eligible under the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA), and international renewable energy certificates (I-RECs).
These products could allow customers to obtain physical fuel, environmental attributes or a combination of the two. Their availability and commercial value will depend on the relevant eligibility rules, market conditions and applicable programme requirements.
XCF’s stated objective is to capture more value across the renewable-fuel supply chain rather than relying solely on fuel sales. The announcement did not quantify expected revenue from environmental assets or disclose specific customer contracts for these services.
Company Emphasises Execution Following Business Combination
XCF said it is bringing teams across the supply chain together, with a focus on operational safety, reliable fuel supply and carbon solutions aligned with customers’ commercial and operational requirements.
“The combination gives XCF more ways to grow, but our strategy remains grounded in execution,” said Chris Cooper, chief executive officer of XCF Global.
Cooper said the company intends to expand its operating model, integrate more value across the supply chain and deliver fuel and carbon solutions as markets and customer needs evolve.
The company’s next steps will determine how its production, technology and environmental-asset businesses translate into measurable operating growth. Its announcement set out the strategic direction but did not provide consolidated financial forecasts, a quantified expansion schedule or targets for future renewable-fuel production.
Bioenergy Business Analysis
XCF Global’s strategy reflects an integrated approach to renewable fuels: expanding physical production while seeking additional value from feedstocks, fuel-conversion technologies and environmental attributes. Its September results at New Rise Renewables Reno provide an operating reference point, while the wider platform creates potential routes into new fuels and carbon-related services.
The distinction between current operations and planned capabilities remains important. Renewable diesel production and shipments have been reported at Reno, but additional facilities, licensing-led expansion and methanol-to-jet development remain part of the company’s stated strategy rather than confirmed new commercial output.
For the market, execution will be key. Future progress will depend on the performance of existing assets, financing for expansion, the development and deployment of fuel technologies, and demand and regulatory eligibility for environmental credits. XCF has outlined how it intends to connect these activities, but further operating and financial disclosures will be needed to assess the scale of the opportunity.
