The government of Mauritania and CWP Global have signed an agreement to advance the Aman green hydrogen project, moving the large-scale development into the front-end engineering design (FEED) phase.
The project is targeting a final investment decision (FID) before 2030 and is planned to produce approximately 1.2 million tonnes of green hydrogen and 6.6 million tonnes of green ammonia annually.
The agreement establishes a long-term contractual framework for the next stages of the Aman project and covers financial, economic and development matters linked to its implementation, according to Mauritania’s Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.
Aman Project Moves into FEED Phase
The agreement marks a further step in the development of Aman, which Mauritania and CWP Global launched in 2020.
